Site operator and contact

This website is operated in the United States for the Galactic Union of Natural Conservation (GUNC), an organized in-game guild within Stars Reach. GUNC is a player-run guild, not an incorporated company. GUNC's website administrators decide why and how optional analytics are used for the GUNC website and guild community.

Privacy questions and requests are handled through the GUNC Discord, where official GUNC discussions take place. Ask to contact the website privacy administrator, then use the private contact route they provide. Do not include private information in a public channel.

Information this site collects

GUNC does not ask visitors to create an account or submit personal information through this website.

Search terms and selected recipes or materials can appear in the address bar. Shared skill builds can also be stored in the link so another Wayfarer can open the same build. Query strings are part of the requested URL and may reach the hosting infrastructure or appear in limited technical logs. Browser URL fragments are not normally sent with a web request, but anyone you share the full link with can see the build saved in it. Do not put private information in searches or shared links.

The web server necessarily receives connection information, including an IP address, long enough to return a requested page. Routine Caddy access logging is not used for analytics. Limited security or system records may still be created when needed to keep the server working or investigate abuse.

Walkthrough progress

The Haven walkthrough saves the steps you mark complete in your browser's local storage. You can remove that saved progress with the walkthrough's Reset button or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

External websites

The site links to Discord, YouTube, X, TikTok, Instagram, Bluesky, Stars Reach, and other community resources. Those websites have their own privacy policies and may collect information when you visit them. GUNC shows a confirmation before opening an external website.

Hosting and location

GUNC is hosted on a GoDaddy virtual private server located in the United States. GoDaddy provides the server infrastructure. A visitor's connection to the site, and any optional analytics they permit, is therefore processed in the United States.

Cookies and analytics

GUNC does not use advertising cookies, browser fingerprinting, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics.

The web server keeps identifier-free operational counters for the shared Caddy web front. They cover request totals, HTTP methods and response-status groups, errors, response time and size ranges, and Caddy process resources. They do not contain a host, requested path, query, IP address, browser information, referrer, cookie, visitor ID, or individual request record. Fifteen-minute operational summaries are kept for up to 90 days and daily summaries for up to 400 days.

Optional content analytics starts only if you choose Allow content analytics. It reports views and daily unique opted-in browsers for fixed public content such as Wiki articles, Lore profiles, recipes, materials, Forge results, and skill pages. It never receives a search term, build parameters, PQRV inputs, URL query or fragment, referrer, IP-derived ID, user-agent-derived ID, or fingerprint. Every accepted content identifier comes from a release-generated list; arbitrary page names and URLs are rejected.

GUNC can rank individual public pages by views and daily unique opted-in browsers. It can also report approximate active foreground time for each page. Time counts only in rounded five-second amounts while the page is visible and focused and the browser has seen recent activity. It does not store clicks, keys, pointer coordinates, scroll position, activity types, timestamps, or an ordered navigation history. This is an attention estimate, not proof that someone read every word.

After you opt in, the analytics service places one random, first-party cookie that is available only to the analytics endpoints. It expires at the next UTC midnight and is replaced with an unrelated value on a later day. The service transforms it with a separate daily key and never writes the raw cookie value. Temporary daily pseudonyms and that key are deleted within 36 hours after the day ends. Only aggregate page-view, daily-unique, and active-time totals remain, for up to 400 days. Retained data cannot be used to link a browser across days, so GUNC cannot calculate a person-level weekly or monthly unique total.

Your choice is saved in this browser's local storage so GUNC can honor it without asking on every page. That preference contains only the current policy version and whether content analytics is allowed. You can change your choice at any time with Privacy choices in the footer. Declining does not limit any site feature. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals disable optional analytics.

Operational metrics are used for reliability, security, and capacity planning. Where GDPR applies, GUNC relies on its legitimate interest in operating the free public service for that identifier-free layer. Optional content analytics relies on your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Privacy-enhanced YouTube embeds may connect to YouTube when they load or become visible on the page, even if you do not press Play.

Your choices and rights

You can decline optional content analytics without losing any site feature. If you previously accepted, use Privacy choices in the footer and choose Continue without analytics. GUNC will immediately stop new view and active-time measurements, clear the current-day cookie, and remove that browser's temporary current-day rows when the service is reachable.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, request deletion or correction, withdraw consent, and complain to a local data-protection authority. Because GUNC does not keep an account, raw analytics ID, IP address, or cross-day visitor profile, it may not be possible to identify aggregate historical counts as belonging to you. To make a request, ask for the website privacy administrator through the GUNC Discord and use the private contact route they provide.

Changes to this policy

This page will be updated if the website adds accounts, forms, analytics, or another feature that changes how visitor information is handled.

Questions

Questions about this policy can be sent through the GUNC Discord. Ask for the website privacy administrator and use the private contact route they provide.
