GUNC Stars Reach Field Guide
Stars Reach: Haven to Crucible, step by step
Every stop from Mayor Bob’s welcome to the portal for TPL Starbase, with screenshots and quick fixes for the places that tend to trip people up.
This route covers the three Haven missions, the round trip to Crucible, the trade windows, and the tools each mission introduces. The missions can arrive in a different order, so follow whichever mission you have active and use this page to pick up the matching part of the route.
Where to go next
Step-by-step field notes
Get the datapad and starting kit.
Pick any branch from the Missions tab.
Ride the Sky Skiff, scan, mine, and trade.
Listen to the Pathfinder and restore the map.
Hunt, harvest, cook, and deliver one of each.
Return to Mayor Bob before taking the portal.
Press L, select the mission on the left, and click Make Active. The three missions do not have to happen in the order shown here.
Tap T. Fixed reticle turns the camera as you move the mouse; free reticle moves the cursor and uses Right MB to drag the camera.
The marker only leads to the search area. Equip the Terraformer, press Tab, select Pyroxene, and scan with E.
The trade window needs the right quantity, Set Offer, and then Trade. Clint wants five Pyroxene; Gahgrum wants one of each cooked food.
Haven begins with a short starter area where you can try the movement and camera prompts at your own pace. When you are comfortable, head outside and follow the waypoint to Mayor Bob.
This is the only Haven mission that leaves the planet. Crucible is rougher than Haven, but the mission stays close to Clint and the skiff.
Brunsa is in Haven's central park. This branch teaches the sound, compass, node color, and map parts of surveying in one short loop.
Gahgrum's branch is the longest Haven mission because it moves through combat loot, Harvester targeting, a Stove, and a final trade. The important numbers are ten ingredients per batch and one finished food handed in.
When Clint, Brunsa, and Gahgrum are finished, the last mission sends you back to the same place the tutorial began.
